Lee Dixon has been a prominent fixture in the world of English football since the 1980s, having worked his way from the Burnley academy to the vaunted Arsenal first-team and the England line-up.

Today, he remains embedded in the sport by way of his punditry, commentary, and football columns, helping to bolster the figure denoting Lee Dixon’s net worth.

How Much is Lee Dixon Worth?

An exact number for the net worth of Lee Dixon hasn’t been reported by trusted sources yet, but estimates across the board put the figure in the region of £1 million to £4 million – but take that with a hefty pinch of salt.

While the Premier League was certainly a financial powerhouse during Dixon’s time with Arsenal through its earliest years, it wasn’t anything like what we see today.

Since retiring in 2002, though, Dixon has spoken of some of his investment pursuits.

He’s been keen to invest in restaurants in the past, including the former Riverside Brasserie alongside acclaimed chef Heston Blumenthal.

Speaking to This is Money in 2007, the former right-back also noted that he owned two homes, one of which was in Penzance before property values surged, as well as a flat in Santa Monica, California.

Dixon was also involved in a property venture known as Oakhall. Plus, he’ll still work with major sports reporting outlets and football broadcasters.

Playing Career

Holding the post until his retirement, allowing for Lauren to become an all-time great of the club, and stepping in after Viv Anderson left for Manchester United, Dixon was Arsenal’s go-to right back for 14 years.

Arriving in 1988, it took a while for the former Stoke City defender to lock down a starting XI place. Eventually, he got his chance and leveraged that to collect 619 appearances for the Gunners, as well as 27 goals and 27 assists.

Towards the end of his career, one of those goals marked him among the oldest Champions League goalscorers at 36 years, seven months, and eight days.

While Arsenal are now very much back in the football betting odds to win the Premier League, in Dixon’s day, they were gobbling up trophies left and right.

He’d hoist four English top-flight trophies, the FA Cup three times, the Community Shield three times, the League Cup once, and the European Cup Winners’ Cup before he hung up his boots for good.

For his country, Dixon would play 22 times and score once. At the time, he had to battle for a place against Paul Parker and Gary Stevens, with ill-timed injuries often keeping the right back further down the pecking order.

Switch to Punditry

After his playing career concluded in 2002, Dixon joined up with the BBC to offer punditry on the broadcaster’s football coverage. He’d appear on Score, Football Focus, and Match of the Day.

Dixon also became a regular columnist for several newspapers while taking his punditry to ITV programming, NBC Sports, and the Electronic Arts video game series.

So, even over two decades on from his playing career, those who partake in Premier League sports betting, watch the games live, and check out highlights later in the day will likely be familiar with Lee Dixon’s work.

Personal Life

To supplement his punditry income and further bolster that Lee Dixon net worth value, the former footballer has long pursued business interests. Many of these have led him to invest in restaurants, some of which have flopped.

Beyond monetary pursuits, Dixon is married to Yolande Dixon. She is the artistic director at Yorke Dance Project and is an ambassador for the Wild at Heart Foundation.

Having enjoyed a well-paid and successful football career, Lee Dixon’s net worth has continued to grow thanks to his many business pursuits, work in football broadcasting, and some savvy investments.
